Septic Maintenance

To Operate Properly, Your Septic Tank Needs Routine Maintenance

The homeowner is accountable for the upkeep of the septic system, in contrast to district workers who look after common sewers. Some residences have sophisticated septic systems, also referred to as alternative or designed septic systems, to dispose of their liquid waste in a way that is safe and environmentally friendly due to the site circumstances on the land.

Let the Professionals Maintain Your System

In order for alternative septic systems to function correctly, they may need more regular and extensive maintenance. These systems may have pumps, filters, secondary-treatment units, and other specialized components that are not present in standard septic systems. Because of this, the Solano County Code mandates that alternative septic systems be serviced at least once every three years by a qualified contractor or registered consultant, and that the systems be maintained annually. This is the section for the county code.
